I like watching Animal Planet, obviously. And I watch all of the shows, including those where people get attacked by animals. Sometimes it's a bear, or a shark, or something equally tragic and unavoidable. But most of the time it's rodeo fucktards whining about how they got their head stomped in by a bull.
Y'know what? I have no sympathy for you. In fact, I was hoping the bull would turn around and curb stomp your skull again to finish you off. Because it is entirely, 100%, no question about it, all your fault. You've taken an animal and bred it generation after generation to be bigger, meaner and more feral. And then you take that highly excitable and dangerous animal and put them in the middle of a closed-in arena with hundreds of people waving their arms and shouting, which is guaranteed to send them into a panic. And then you hop on its back or lasso it or whatever the fuck, which scares it even more fucking out of its mind and gives it a clear target to focus all of that fear and aggression on; you. Is anyone else seeing any point in the above scenario where someone might have avoided having their brain pancaked?
I hate rodeo. It's the last major, acceptable form of animal cruelty. Because America hates dog fighting, but loves a good bull ride.

It figures that as soon as I've made up my mind to go to the doctor, I automatically start feeling better. I actually managed to sleep through the night last night and woke up with a lot more energy and a lot less coughing/difficulty breathing this morning. Unfortunately, as the afternoon progressed my chest got tighter.
Two separate medical sources, my mom and Don's mom, have suggested that it sounds like pneumonia. Fantastic! Anyway, if it persists I'll definitely head to the doc. If I continue to get better, then I'll just assume it was a viral pneumonia brought on by the cold I had two weeks ago that's resolving on its own.
Mom and Grandma are visiting tomorrow. I'll be showing them the wedding invites I've been working on and ask their opinion on which version they like best. I've stared at them too much, I need a fresh pair of eyes, and Don's no help at all. They'll probably make me try on my dress for them, too. Ugh, all that plastic wrap!
Sorry I'm missing your b-day dinner tomorrow night, Denise, but a four hour round trip for dinner is out of my budget at the moment. Happy Birthday, though!

Right! On Saturday I'm going to Cuba with my mom, my grandma and a most excellent friend and I'm very excited. Very excited indeed. We are going to snorkle and sit on beaches and party in cave discos! Seriously, there is a disco in a cave and I intend to go.
In other news, I've been watching a lot of Never Mind the Buzzcocks lately. The more I watch of it, the more I want Noel Feilding to be the twelfth Doctor. Think about it... he'd be amazing.

I has a sick. I can't sleep for more than three hours at a time without waking up in a coughing fit. I can't walk up a flight of stairs without having an asthma attack. I thought it was just a bad cold virus at first, but it's been 2 weeks and things are just getting progressively worse. Going to the doctor tomorrow.
This is amusing and semi-relevant:

BRB, GOING TO WASHINGTON.
Seriously though, I may not update much the next couple of days, as Suu is still internetless from what I understand. Sad, I know :( But it's only until Sunday! You can survive with me until then, right? RIGHT?
That said, those who have my cell, feel free to text, and I'll probably be updating my twitter too. So, there's that. I might make a phonepost or try to update from my crackberry at some point, we'll see.

TANTRUM!!!!
Alix, Heather and I were awesomely horrible students in class today. For those who follow me on twitter...I...apologize. It's best not question. I was high off energy drinks and hunger. and really needing to pee.
In other news, I ran into Scott today and gave him the cold shoulder. I'm sorry, but you can't break into my apartment one night and then expect me to be friendly the next day. I've put up with some vaguely creepy shit from him in the past, but that's just...wow, I refuse to just forgive such a grievous invasion of privacy. I don't care if one of my roommates didn't lock the apartment, that doesn't give him the right to just let himself in. What if I hadn't been home but one of my roommates had been? I mean, if one of their friends just let themselves in, and I was the only one home, it would freak me out. Hell, it freaked me out and it was a "friend" of mine. So...yeah. And he doesn't even seem to think he did anything wrong.
I need to pack. Leaving for Washington tomorrow. So if I don't post until I come back on Sunday, that's why. Suu is internetless right now. :(
ETA: I meant to mention it sooner, but I wanted to formally thank the support I've been getting from everyone about my recent decisions with school and moving. I don't even have words for what it means to me, really. I usually kind of assume people aren't going to understand or support me, so to just have a flood of good vibes (and no real negative responses, so far) has been staggering.

So a few months back I got frustrated with crappy, drugstore brand makeup. Covergirl's eyeshadows are shit. Unless you wet the brush first you can barely even tell you've put any on. I wanted an actual, professional-looking smoky eye, so I bought some good Lancome makeup from Macy's. The total was around $80 for a quad eyeshadow kit, a single eyeshadow palette and an eyeliner pencil. Pricey, yes, but the best makeup I've bought in years and I've gotten more than reasonable use out of it. They asked me if I wanted to sign up for a Macy's card and get 30% off. Wow, that's like $25! Sure! So I opened a Macy's card, charged the makeup to the card, and then went online and paid the card off in one go. The card still even has the sticker on it, I never activated it.
Turns out, they double charged the card. I have a negative balance of $55 with Macy's that I can either have refunded or use toward another purchase. Hmmm. Well, I don't really need the money right now, so... Little black dress?
Nah, I can't afford the additional $100. Still, I really like that dress.
